Try putting it in autoexec.cfg instead. If that doesn't work, just remember to type "exec autoexec.cfg" whenever you play, in the console.

I suspect, myself, though I've never investigated it, that the "FX amount" field defines the palette entry to be used for transparency.

The compile isn't going right, then. Either there's a problem with the map ? check the log ? or the BSP isn't being copied to the right place in the end.

Buyzones aren't solid now, are they? When exactly have you ever seen blocks floating around representing them in CS games?

As for the ground... did you make that a buyzone too?

1. Possibly. You could, alternatively, freeze him in a block, and then remove the block. That would probably work. Lots of other possiblities too.

2. Yes. If you target a func_breakable with its name, it will break.

I'm pretty sure "filthen" isn't a word in either English. Ignore US English, they're wrong ;).

"Defile" is probably what you want, but that's usually followed by "virgins". It's not a word often used. Just say "make messy".

Emo boy :P.

Fine, have a Monday (my days vary a fair bit):
  • Get up
  • Put my bed up so I have a desk
  • Move my piano so I can sit down at the desk
  • Put some music on, check comics and TWHL
  • Have breakfast
  • Get dressed
  • Have a shave
  • Sit on IRC for a few minutes
  • Walk to town
  • Get the 'bus to college
  • Electronics first, 0900-1005
  • Physics, same room, same seat, slightly sore (wooden stools), 1005-1110
  • Sit around for four hours. Break, two free periods, lunch, and another free period. Do nothing constructive
  • Computing, dammit.
  • Walk home (1630)
  • Arrive home (1745, ~4mph ? speedy)
  • Music again, TWHL again, El Reg, perhaps some piano; waste time until dinner
  • Dinner
  • Do work or odd jobs an' stuff, piano, Russian, etc.
  • Some excercises, and bed
  • Sleep for not long enough
There. Pretty accurate :).
