Well if the multisource is the doors master, that just tells the door that it can't open unless the multisource is active. Therefore requiring the door to need another trigger to open it (i think)

Try just having the multisource trigger the door to open,
OR

Place a trigger_multiple around the door with the trigger's master as the multisource, and take the master off the door itself.

Have the trigger_multiple trigger the door when it's master is active.

There are multiple ways of doing this. Find the one that works best for you, and that best suits the situation you're in.

yeah.
I bet you're getting the same effect as a distorted FOV like penguinboy said.
Kinda like:

Try this... Cut a quarter out of a piece of paper and cover up your monitor with it. then play half life... The corner where the piece was but out will be VERY distorted when you walk around and stuff.

Maybe that's what caused the initial earthquake then?

Is it fullbright? Or is it a different speed than you're used to? Is your screen refresh-rate too low? (>60hz does weird things to you) Do you need glasses?
Try looking at a far corner, getting up and moving around, distract your eyes form the screen.

Did anyone see Cloverfield? Because i saw it last night with my girlfriend and her sister and i think it was one of the better movies i have seen lately.

It did, however leave me wanting more because there were so many unanswered questions.

-- :nuke: :nuke: Spoiler Warning :nuke: :nuke: --

Where did IT come from?
What happened to the rest of New york?
What exactly happens to people to make them explode after being bitten by the smaller creatures? (They looked like zerglings to me)

My thoughts are: The monster was always on earth. After seeing it's tail smash the bridge, it looks amazingly fish-like. It's face looks similar to that of deep-sea fish seen from those Discovery / National Geographic documentaries. It could be a prehistoric creature causing chaos in the deep seas as a possible sea monster for hundreds of thousands of years. And it just now decided to lash out against humanity.

Because there are so many unanswered questions, i thought it would be kinda cool to see peoples opinions who have seen the movie.

Of course this is TWHL so the massive truck of fail could possibly pay this thread a visit. Hopefully not because i was looking forward to this movie since i saw the teaser, and my experience was fantastic!

Oh and by the way, it's not godzilla. I Also lost $10 on a bet because of that.

I like it so far, But i still think, like all of us HL1 mappers, you're still stuck a bit on the gold-source engine. The level of detail that can go into each room is drastically more than it previously was. Especially if you're using the Episode2 Engine.
Which means:
More models than tiny brushwork
Higher-res Textures
More segments in arches, cylinders etc.
Just keep improving. It's all we can ask for at a beta stage. :D

And.. the storyline kicks ass.

No i don't use HLFIX for anything i do. If i can't create a valid brush, then i don't. :crowbar: I have not tried making a dome with the arch tool. But i think i might know how to do so... in-fact. I'm gonna try right now.

Redka, the way i do it is..thusly: Since a 12 sided cylinder has 3 wedges per 90 degrees, as captain terror mentioned, one of those sides HAS to be a 45 degree angle.

We all know that Hammer doesn't like anything that's not a 45 deg, or 90 deg angle. So i only make the 45 deg angle brushes at different angles at either end. If that confuses you... here's a pic explaining what i mean.
User posted image
You can see from this pic that the top, bottom, left, and right sides, when flipped, will all be facing in a good direction. And as for the 45 deg angle, as long as you make the sheer in each direction symmetrical, there will be no errors in your map. :hammer: :hammer:

So. 8, 12, 24 sides.. are all good to use for curves and domes and spheres and such. Anything that's going to be hollow, anyway.

Very Well done Captain, Although it is not 12 sides, you did do that other... thing... before so you deserve this win.

Your choice for Geometry Challenge #5 :hammer:

Redka, If you go to my youtube channel, i Explain how (with a video) to make a dome with hammer using all valid brushes. The same thing applies to spheres, only you basically make 2 domes and join them at the middle with another group of brushes... kinda like this:

{ + [] + } = {[]} = Sphere.

Kinda..

Oh no Captain Terror, I think you might have misunderstood what i meant by the challenge. That's a big fault on my part as well. :(

To explain better, i quote redka :
Create a sphere from one brush, which looks like as a 10 sided prism in the 2D views.
My challenge is a lot like Redka's only instead of one brush, it's multiple brushes, and instead of a 10 sided prism, it would have 12 sides.

I do apologize Captain, as your dodehedrathingamawhat was well crafted.

Yeah. I'm trying to make each face flat. It's proving to be quite difficult.
But i bet with some more messing around i can turn each of my squares into triangles, thus solving the error.
I'll report back in like.. 20 minutes or so.
EDIT
How about ... 5 minutes lol.
Here's a view from the inside of the sphere.
I'm turning the trapezoids into 2 Triangles Each. I believe the outer ring of squares should be all set. Because this is some tedious stuff.

Yes aaron, this is ONE brush. Unfortunately, if you 'Fix' the invalid brush via hammer, it royally screws up the sphere, but here is a screenie, and if you want the raw, un-fixed RMF i'll upload it to a remote host.

I'm gonna continue to mess with it... try and see if i can get a valid brush outta this thing. Though i doubt i can.

http://img299.imageshack.us/img299/668/geo2gy7.jpg
and you can tell it's only one brush because you'd see multiple crosses for the center of each successive brush.
There's only one, and it's in the middle.

But i can make a hollow cube from multiple brushes without any errors at all.
