The human race will be like any other predator/prey thing, peppa.

Lots of rabbits leads to more wolves, leads to less rabbits, less rabibits lead to less wolves, less wolves lead to more rabbits and so on.

Just replace rabbits with resources and wolves with humans. The influential people don't think that oil/coal's so expensive that we should research solar power and similar techs., and so it won't be researched until they think it is.

America's not really a democracy, you're right. :) The Founders wanted to prevent a "tyranny of the majority."

How is it fictional, because you weren't there when it was written? 'cause I thought there was the whole thing already about how dinosaurs weren't real because they weren't around the same time as us (fossils accordingly don't mean anything, it's just a craaaaazy chance that you find them all together in the shape of something that looks like it could walk around and eat stuff).

Now clean out all the gunk under your mouse buttons, that's also rewarding. Make sure to clean out the dust near your mouse's laser (if you're an optical person). I don't think it helps functionality at all but at least you can say it's got less dust. :o

I never though I'd say this, but I agree with Gargie. :P I mean the article says that he's running a black-market business, which would imply that it's illegal/not constitutional.

Kasperg, I don't understand how a country where you can be reasonably threatened by a pocketknife is a better country to live in. Either way it'd lead to weapon escalation, people would carry bigger weapons than the last guy as to not be threatened by them.

"Without religious differences, we would have so much less hatred in humanity."

Without differences in general we would have so much less hatred because we'd be mindless sheep, accepting everything we hear as "the truth" and not bothering to question it because we wouldn't want to cause any tensions that might lead to gasp non-friendliness.

Meh, I wouldn't say I accept homosexuality as much as blacks/Asians/whatevers since race isn't caused by environment at all whereas sexual preference could be. There was that one chick from Sex and the City (I think it was) who started cavorting with women after she had a messed-up relationship with her manfriend.

Either way, assuming that gays do get equal rights in the form of new laws, it's still basically discrimination because there's no laws that say straights have such-and-such rights.

"Less likely, in some cases"

Sounds like a horoscope. It's not like a firearm's the only thing you can kill a person with, it's just the most popular because most people are too pussy to use a knife. Ergo, a mugger with a knife is more dangerous (usually [now I sound like a horoscope]).

I wouldn't say there's any real story, last time we just did our own thing, it was a few select maps that had the "real story" in them and that wasn't forced upon the mappers, either. So, if there is a real story, which I doubt there will be, don't worry about it. :cyclops:

Yeah, fo sho! Too many bored l337ites working on it to quit. :P I know a lot of people would rather map for Source, but mapping for HL1's easier and takes less time. It's not like this is gonna have a r_speed limit of 1000 or anything. :P

1. I don't think they should all be in one slot, that's just crazy. You could have it like CS and have shottie/OICW in slot 1, pistol in 2, knife in 3, and grenades in 4, ooooor have it like HL and have knife in 1, pistol in 2, shottie/AR in 3, grenades in 5. I wouldn't say the current setup is BAD, just it's kind of messy.

2. Compress your damn images - http://irfanview.com

Both of those are right. :) If it's made under standard HL, it'll run under Spirit. You don't really HAVE to use Spirit except to play the overall mappack when it's finished, because even though your map won't be necessarily using the features, other ones will be.

Strider - There aren't limits to size/custom stuff so long as the computer doesn't explode. :P r_speed limit will unfortunately be around 1000, but it can be higher than that so long as it's not for extended periods of time, and not too much higher. And you can have 4 connected maps, which I assure you is a lot more than you'd want to map anyways. :P

G_KID - It's SoHL, but that doesn't mean you have to use its features... you could make a regular 'ol single-player map if you wanted.

There's no story to adhere to at all, really. :) I worked on Issues 1 and although there was a "story," it basically only existed in 3 maps, the rest were just random maps that people made.
