Helo, I am wondering how it is that one turns a file that is .map into a file that is .bsp? Sorry my english if it is bad.

I would also like answered what does this error mean 'warning: this map is a null'.

just remember that for most models and sprites theres a bug whereby to change the Z axis, you must also put a value in Y or X (0.0001 if you want)

no but I agree

Decompiling is stupid, just ask the author first. If you think you can get any brush work from it then try another hobby, the only important part of decompilation is to get ent sequences. Which are usually so impossible to understand people just copy them ent for ent.

not null, the plane count reducer tool (opt_plns) that comes with the XP-Cagey modifications to Zoners, version p10. All it does is discard external planes/faces to reduce map size.

exterior faces are discarded for rendering, but still count towards face/plane count until you use an extra tool to remove them

  • Well populated town, in futuristic age?

or use the null texture if you don't want to make the wall's rendermode solid and screw up the lighting on it. Plus the engine tends to render even stuff thats been made invisible by the blue texture.

as soon as a player enters a trigger_gravity, it will affect them until they hit another one

which in multiplayer means if they respawn they will stay at the wrong gravity!

rofl afaik sv_gravity affects world gravity ACCORDING to what gravity the player is in atm

use a trigger_gravity brush and set gravity between 0 and 1 (but not 0, which doesnt work)
