I came up with an idea on the irc last night- there needs to be certified reviewers to look at maps submissions, give feedback etc. The reason I said this is that most maps have no comments, when they do they are 2 words or talking bullshit. If I were to post a map (which I will do soon) I want critisicm and feedback.

The thing is that makes this so strange is that it worked one day, then the next - it was broke!

Noob hating is in a sense wrong if they are a 'noob' as in meaning a 'newbie', which means people should be giving them support, but people usually call people 'noobs' if they dont listen, dont read properly, dont spell properly etc...

Instead of lashing out Floater, you should listen to the comments as constructive critiscism. If you spend more time making a decent website it gives it a better impression, and will make viewers want to explore more.

Has anyone got XFire? Ie. > the Instant Messenger for Gamers. You sign up, when your buddies are online you click on them and join the server they are on, plus chat facilities. Everyone should give it a try.

Can anyone help me with this problem? Here it is -

1) I play Half-life or any of the mods

2) I play a game, run a map, etc

3) I press ESC to go to the main menu, for example, if I want to save or change the Configuration.

4) When I go to RESUME game, and enter the game, the console screen blocks all the screen from view, and cannot be removed. I consequently have to quit the game to replay.

I have tried uninstalling the game > no avail. Any one help me?

This is my idea: the player has to get out from an exploding 'compound'. They to keep running or else a triggger_hurt will catch up with you (killing the player). Is it possible to make a trigger_hurt move, or follow you? I was also wondering if this would work with other entities eg. lights, sounds, sprites.

I seem to remember there was one point on HL when you are in a pipe and a Grunt chucks in a satchel, and it explodes, sending a flame down the tube - so it must be able to be done. I have checked most of the tuts on this site and have experimented myself but I cant seem to get it right.

Any help would be appreciated :)
