Snarkpit is a huge site and it's hard to keep people calm.
Habboi, that's rubbish. Utter rubbish. If people aren't 'calm' its not because its a large site, its because they've been rubbed up the wrong way with wild accusations or totally moronic misinterpretations of obvious helpful posts. Generally people don't bite unless a specific member becomes mind numbing, and thread wasting. Even then its done as constructively as possible. Any flaming is quickly snipped by the moderators.

I don't see why you have to keep badmouthing a community when they DO NOT hate you and generally bent over backwards to correct, rather than ridicule you. You're not persecuted in the least, and its the rash comments that you post in threads like this, stemming from your paranoia that get's people's backs up.

Actually, odin sounds like someone who might be trusted with a gun. Its the scared shitless americans that see terrorists hiding in the bushes and believe the medias master illusion that the whole world is bad. Its that mindset that causes massacres and gives support to wars. In short, I'd prefer a world without guns, but I'll settle for a world where idiots aren't allowed them.

catholics conservative? i dont think so. although they may oppose birth control and gay marrage, everything esle about them is liberal.
Catholics are liberal, in the same sense that protestants are liberal; they just don't all follow their church leaders. In a sense, you're referring to bad catholics. I can assure you, the church is still pretty 'fire & brimstone' Jeremy.

I'm a catholic, and rarely molest children nowadays. However, as I already said, people have gone into Princess Diana mode again; pretending the deceased was always liked by them, when a few months before it was ok to laugh and point. Considering noone here particularly knew him, there is no reason to change (or worse, suddenly form) an elevated opinion. Yes, have respect for the dead, but its only because the media have put on a big show that anyone cares at all.

It affects my community as my family and most people around me are catholics, its not affecting any other community, so stop caring too much, your emotions are being affected by the current light shed on him, and they 24/7 tributes on TV; other people, you don't know telling you what they think.

If the death of Harold Shipman was covered in such a way, with people who knew him paying tributes on tv constantly, you'd soon have a tear in your eye for him too.

Personally I think he was a good man, but totally wrong on some things, and won't forget easily that he never met a single victim of the child sex abuse carried out by his own priests.

Think of what he did, or didn't do, not what people are saying about him. Form an opinion based on actions, and don't mimic or get caught up in the current tone.

[/2 Cents]

lol. So if its just a man then why an arab? The point you're making isn't fair. You're saying take a specific maniac stereotype and a specific "hi honey I'm home" type, then asking which one is dangerous. Can't help but feel its a loaded question.

I still say paintball is the answer. I'd find that hilarious. or stalk a deer, then...sneak up and fasten a stupid hat on it. Humiliating animals just isn't some peoples bag, so if you train animals to play dead on command, and make a bang noise, it would rock.

My biggest beef with America is the lack of health care for the poor. They could readily afford it, though, god forbid, their countries income would fall behind china. Maybe with NHS the reds WOULD be "number one". Think about it, CONSCRIPTION! :badass:

Welcome to anime. Anime has its own kind of code, basically everyone is going through puberty and tentacles are....y'know. :P ok 9 didnt have much of that.

Spamming isn't funny. Spamming is something people do to try and be funny when they lack wit and any kind of comedy timing. Its something total beginners to forums and the like to, for want of something constructive to add. Noone laughs with spammers, or even at them. It just means having to scroll down more. Kind of like littering.

A short history of almost everything - Bill Bryson
Was that about string theory? I saw the television documentry of it, if it is, but if it isn't then i didn't. So I did.

'The Zombie Survival Guide' - Max Brookes. I started reading this a good while ago, but stopped half way through it. Its written as a serious handbook on what to do if the world is taken over by zombies. It doesn't make the most thrilling read, since its a step by step guide, and more of a novelty item than a comedy book.

Other books I haven't read through fully; 'A Catcher in the Rye' and 'Dave Gorman's Googlewhack adventure' (which I was really enjoying, dunno why the hell I stopped).

Actually, thats a good point. Somewhere along the line a bastardisation of tv, console and puter will arrive. Idiots will flock to it and buy this all in one entertainment system, and the market will follow. Things will prolly get so dumbed down that upgrading a pc will become impossible. And there civilisation ends.
