Im still getting the same problem although ive checked my hammer configuration. Could it be my copy or setting up of HLCC?

I get his error now:

hlcsg: Error: Could not open wad file hammertextureswadsas_tundra.wad

hlcsg: Error: Could not find WAD file
Description: The compile tools could not locate a wad file that the map was referencing.
Howto Fix: Make sure the wad's listed in the level editor actually all exist

I get a vis.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close, and another one for qrad.exe

Hi, When i compile my map using HLCC all the textures are changed into the black and purple square texture.

Does anyone know why this is? I'll try and answer any things you might need to know to help me.

In old hammer i used to get my .jpg or whatever textures and then id add them to a wad with wally. Now the texture pak files are .something :P . Basically what im asking is - How do i get a .jpg image into the new texture file format?

i think im gunna have a go with a few mates of mine if that is ok, seen as we are complete noobs ( i cant figure out how to get the monsters working ) back to the tutorials.... sigh

mephs, its easy to make sure you do proper length jumps in hammer. Just make it so that the size of the blocks in hammer are size 16, and then reasonable jump sizes are as follows ::

Length :: 12 blocks
Height :: 3 1/2 blocks

Just ask me if u want me to send u a .map file with some jumps of about the right length and height.

Ive just started mapping and id like to take part in one of ur competitions. I think we shud have to make a jumping map cos thats a new thing to this site as far as i can see.

maybe click on "camera" in the top left corner of the view box thingy, then go to 3D textured. Sounds like your on wireframe atm.
