Why would you need dlls for transparency anyway? Isnt it supposed to automatically remove the Blue#255 color if you use the { tag in the texure name and make the brush a func wall (or similar) then set the rendermode to "solid"?

HL1 may be old but in no way is it obsolete. There is still so much you can do with that engine. The HL1 engine was definetly ahead of its time.
Didnt enter this compo but im definetly going to do the next one.
Maybe we should have contests for both Source and HL1, maybe have them alternate each time.
Try to get some good custom textures in there. DoD would probably have some good WWII textures in it.

The irony of Doodles Steam factory hell was that I played it on HL1.5 because Steam got screwed up for me.

light_environment is want you want to use (I believe they use it in Source as well as HL1)
WinMX does seem to get a good number of search results. And it works fine for DSL, I get downloads around 24-30KB/s (not Kbps).

I use an LCD so it shows up just fine. But people like Seventh who use CRT may have trouble seeing it, especially if the resolution is turned all the way up. (look at the thread for J3r3my's site and youll see what I mean)
Yes blue on black will show fine on an LCD screen, but it will blur on a CRT screen, making very hard to read.
