i could also use milkshape.. im willing to learn.. but just tried milkshape some days ago..

And that is the worst %#%"# i have ever seen... It is so amazingly bad that its almost funny , compared to 3dsmax, maya, or any other professionel 3d application..

dosent work.. i checked the "Yes" in map properties..and placed at trigger to start the Env_fade in the beginning of the map.. It still fades the "Wrong Way".. :(

I looked in the entity list.. That didnt help me much..
How does i make the screen fade in to game, instead of out?
Im trying to get the effect of totalt black when i start the map, and then fade into "Game"..

i got the crowbar decompiled.. And im ready to import then in to 3dsmax.. Npow i have ANOTHER problem. There is like 10 smd files.. do i have to edit each one of them.. Cause in the tuts iwe read, he only replaces one weapon and it works.. :S

I need a little help replacing the current V_model weapons in half life..
I would like to use 3dsmax, since i have used it all my life..
But my problem is.. HOW do i get the models in 3dsmax`? i read a number of tuts, about converters, decompilers, plugins etc etc, and my mind kjust cant take any more confusing..
Does anyone have a SIMPLE guide, on how to first decompile the model, second, how to get it in 3dsmax with all the bones, third, what to replace and remodel, and fourth, how du compile it back.. This is making my day a hell !

i tjekked the example map. it didnt have a cutscene in the beginning. are there really no "Cutscene" tutorials anywhere? i saw a link here on TWHL to a Cutscene tutorial by Seventh Monkey, but the link was dead..

Thanks. But i dont lknow how to use these thing. i have no idead how to make the map start with a cutscene, how to make NPCs trigger sounds, how to make any of those things.. :(

I know its much to ask..
But if someone in here has done the tutorial and changed their hud color,..

I found a 3dsmax 6.0 exporter for half life models..
but i cant find a program to get the .max files out of the .mdl files..
or what its called.. Basicly.. I want to edit the models in 3dsmax 5.x / 6.x

Okay. I got it tied and rotating.. Now my last problem is how ti make it look realisticly when the plate hits the gound.. I played around with it and it looks better, but i dont really know how to have full control over the rotation of the plate.. it could be great to have the plate rotate a bit from point A to B, and then rotate a little more, but slower from B to C.. But it seems that you can only tell the plate to rotate one time, and thats from the beginning.. Its very frustrating...

i played around with the angular volcacity , and my plate just fly out of my map.. its like the point it rotates around is far away..

I want the plate to fall out of the pipe and land on the ground..

I placed the map in the Problem vault.
its named "Test2"

i read the tutorials.. and about func_train etc..

i now made 3 path_corners, and gave the Plate the entity "func_train"..
Now i want my plate to follow the path_corners when i walk over a certan area.. So i read that i could place a "trigger_multiple".. So i did that, with the "Target" named the same as my plate...

But nothing works.. It cpould be really great to have someone to guide me through this over MSN Messener...

I would like to make a scripted event.. I looked at the Tuts, but i only found some about monstersand characters..

I want to make a big pipe you can run inside, with a "Door" on it.. Or some kind of metal plate...

When i approach the pipe i want the metal plate, or "Door", to fall of the pipe and hit the ground, making the pipe open for entrance..
just like if you would make a door explode out from the wall..

How do i make this, and what tutorials to read?

Hi.. I made this map very carefully, to prevent leaks.. then i recently added a curved hallway (made with vertix manipu), and make sure that there is no leaks.. Now suddently whewn i run the map i gen a looong repeating error message ing the HL Console..
Nothing in the Compiling log..

I uploaded the map to the Problem Vault.. Its called "Seeker"..
I hope someone can help..
