What I'm looking for is a way to open a door or anything with lasers where they are placed like on the pic and you have to move the circles so the laser can pass it, I don't know if you understand but I want all the 8 lasers to do something when they are free. Something like this...

Well that should explain you what is the problem, but in case:

There is certainly something missing between the step where u decompile the tree texture and when u change the texture. Even if I wouldn't have put the leaves purple it does the same problem.

Well, I'm not sure of the command, but first I'll tell you about a thing in a map, if you know the map ZM_SPACE_SURVIVAL, there are these green smoke dualies, and i'd like to know, what is this command and a way so everybody has it. If you don't know the map I'll explain the question just down there.

What is the command or whatever can be the Brush/entity that makes someone goes fast and who can push people and when you try to go back, it just makes you go slower. I'm not sure if you understood, but I wanna make a kind of race map with that thing.

PS: I can't decompile the map, it's like protected from it.

LightMapGeneric doesn't work or isn't well spelled, you better use VertexLitGeneric, or something like this, just copy paste from another Texture, thanks to everyone who participated to this topic

Ah... I think I know why it didn't work... I didn't choose the good Texture, but it's you guys who told me to use LargeBush for BushGreenBig model. I still has a problem, but I don't think it's really hard to correct:

I do it with Pakrat it sill doesn't work. The texture ( Lighting ) is still the same. I tried with the same name as the Model texture name, I tried with the same name as model file, I did put them in the same folder than Model ( Model: Models/props/de_inferno Texture: Materials/Models/props/de_inferno ) There is certainly something wrong in that.

Wait it's not finished, I still got a problem, when I copy ** model with textures, the same thing as original one, but I change the name and everything that goes with it ( inside VMT file and the model one ) but I don't change the UnlitGeneric/LightMapGeneric/VertexlitGeneric, I even checked the files where they were in, I go on hammer, I browse models, I see the one I made, but when I click on it, just right after I click on the name to see what it looks like on the side, Hammer blows up and close. I think you guys forgot something, coz there is certainly something missing, maybe the QC file.

Ok, but I know that changing the properties of the texture will only be changed on my in-game, but if I make a new model, will people have to redownload this same file but with properties changed? Cause I'm not sure it can, cause we didn't have to download 2 different models of bushes in inferno, but still, maybe it may be different if we do the model

Ok, With source SDK hammer ( Counter-Strike Source ) I made my map, compiled it. I give it to a dude Unknown. This guy own a server, he put my map on it and when people download it, they see everything silver, that's what they say. I'm trying to get a screenshot from a guy, but I don't think they'd make fun of me, cause I sent my map to many servers and it does same. This is so frustrating because people's critic get mad and they cry when they see it, so if you know the problem it'd be nice to help me please cause my map isn't as screw like non-lighted maps but a good one.

PS: I don't know what's the name of the problem or the name of anything in this but Download, so I hate people getting mad because the problem is too easy, or the guy is noob, we're not all good as you ,so please no comments of this and don't say : "You'll hate me, because... " because it's more stupid, you know what I mean.

I have a camera i have some artist talent but not enough to do about something like these movies ( If you can see for Nightmare Before Chistmas Tim Burton used more than modeling he used whatever he found around him like paper, fabrics, woods ( that some information I found on a website i don't know if there's true : ))

I try to find a program on the comp, but something really good, Really Really good, with a lots of details more then looking on google, camera with modeling is good also, but it's hard every details!

Do you know movies of Tim Burton like The Nightmare Before Christams or Corpse Bridge? Every movies he do are weird... Have you thought of putting a mapping thread which it shows everything about running a map? i mean to do a list of everything should be not used like like the optimaztion page of Zombie computer, but something better more precise for every mods not only how high is each things you do, but how long how slow it wil be how fast the errors who can be erased, well something really precise. it's just an idea like this, it's sure it will take long :|

I don't get it... I think I did asked the wrong thing... I mean I want to load a model ( like gign, a ct skin or guerrilla, a t skin ) to know where I should exactly do a skin to see and to help me creating one, but where I go get that file!?

When I go in GFCScape they only show me vtx. or mdl. but I don't find VTF anywhere on my comp. I think I didn't understand something and it's that I wanna know.

Ok, but how I put them on? I have GFCScape a program for skins and materials of Steam, but how I extract them to Gimp? Each time I try they tell it's an unknow file. There is another program to extract skins into an image or something like this?
