Then its your friend's fault.

More details = Faster Answer.

Did you use info_player_start or info_player_deathmatch?

You have to use info_player_deathmatch in order to make it multiplayer...

and compile it as such...

Worm Holes are as real as black holes.

black holes are a theory, but we KNOW they are there. Past the horizon, light cannot escape, and it experiences an interesting red-shift. If light cannot reflect back, there is no way to know if there even is a singularity, as we can't see anything...

Wormholes appear randomly in the universe, and usually for a duration of less than a second (relatively speaking).

Believe me, I've studied this stuff in ages past.

As I have seen many a joint project fail... probably due to me, I have learned a few things, which might help you.
  • There should be size restriction guidlines
  • NO TELEPORTERS. They just give someone the opportunity to add whatever they want, where a joint map should be built off the previous maps.
  • Try and make each map assigned to 3 people. A Giant list of who is going to go next, and which map they will add onto will help it go smoother. Go look at my old list...
  • There should be TIME LIMITATIONS.
  • If someone not there, skip him.
  • there could be a bumping down the list penalty
*give each person like a week or so...
  • decide on TEXTURES.
  • People would use textures from .wads I did not have...
  • Communication is VITAL
  • I suggest making a website, not just a cluttered thread as this,
Or communicate by e-mail, and post news in a special thread that no one can add to. In fact, I did not read anything in this thread but the first few posts, as it seemed to be a bunch of nonsense.

Good luck, I hope I helped...

You said you needed help with the story, so... :

First of all,

Global Warming is not caused by Ozone depletion...

That would be UV radiation (remember those screwed up frogs, and all that skin cancer in Australia?)

Scientists now say that CO2 is the cause of Global warming, though only a small amount of it exists in our atmosphere, and hardly any comes from humans.

Basically, Global Warming has nothing to do with Ozone depletion, or humans...

I'd change that bit...

oh and also:

Traveling at near light speed would not get you anywhere fast, and it would pretty much cause you to jump into the future. Basically, if you went to visit a distant star, and the journey took you about a year, 100 million years would have passed back on Earth...

The only plausible science fiction thing on space travel would be a hyperdrive, which basically would create a wormhole and travel through hyperspace (bending the 4th dimension).

Still, that makes no sense unless anti-matter were to be used to power the wormhole creating device... as when positrons and antiprotons are added to normal matter, it gives off an extreme energy, something greater nuclear fission can do. still, anti-matter is difficult and time consuming to make...

so...

Unless your nanoparticles can make and control antimatter, space travel = nada.

(Plus who the hell knows where a wormhole will come out, it might even be in a different time, and ALWAYS in a parallel universe.)

so... good luck with the scientific relevance...

Read up on superstring theory and M-theory before you try and space travel, wormhole travel, or anything of the such...

nanoparticle idea sounds good though...

personally, I would make Velion turn into a black hole, but thats just me.

I agree with the Urb.

It was probably because your computer is too shitty to handle source, or that and your virtual memory ran out.

If there is a problem with your computer, the first thing you must always do is restart. This usually fixes every problem.

a func_train has no rotation.

If you want to get creative, edit the path_track's Pitch Yaw Roll object, so that the manta will actually move to fit your specifications as it travels to that path. You can make a pretty cool flight, having the manta do corkscrews in the air and such.

Hey there, Just dropped by to give my condolences to all you Aussies...

I heard about it this morning... Quite a freak accident. Its ironic, he spent all his time in the most dangerous of situations, and was killed by something so highly improbable.

Erwin was a great contributor to conservation, and a seriously entertaining man to watch...

I watched that guy for 14 years waiting for it to happen, never did I think It'd be like this...

At least he died while doing something he loved...

in 4th of July Post #188667
errr... Just popped in to say Happy Independence Day USA,
Didn't know there was an argument about it...

The 4th of July stands not just as the day America delcared its independence, but also as an example to the world of a new form of government... The great men that created and signed the Declaration of Independence combined and refined the works of the great philosophers of the past, and made for themselves a guidline for a government that was run by the people, not the government running the people...

Remember Lexington and Concord? "The shot heard 'round the world"?

It sparked revolutionary thoughts everywhere, and is not subject to just our country.

The first is obviously not a "Holy Crap! Get out alive!"

If they were to make a HL movie, it would not be totally centered around Gordon Freeman, though we WOULD be the main character. Obviously, the movie would be seen from all sides... from the government, and from the Staff. Gordon would just have his own little story, seeing that he is the one who kills the Nihilith.

I see it possible to make a HL movie without having Gordon Speek...

Of course, the first scene would be the infamous train ride...

I have one quesiton though,
Do we include the origional map, and then have a destruction levelchange where the player must then work his way back, or do we just destroy the hell outa the thing?
