Yeah, its not when I'm too close though its just generally from any distance. The advice TetsuO gave works but is time consuming having to the hold the mouse till you select the object you want to as it cycles through any others behind it before hand, so if anyone has any other solutions it would help alot thanks.

Im sure this problem is very easily solved so sorry about this.

Basically on Hammer, when I click to select an object on camera view it selects the object furthest away if that makes sense. For example if there are two walls one infront of the other, if I click with the intention of selecting the front wall it will select the back wall ...

I thought the solution would be to tick or un tick the 'Selection order' box on Options:3D Views but this hasn't worked. Any other solutions please?

Im pretty sure this question will have been raised before so if it has if someone could just supply a link i would be thankful.

Basically im wondering if there is a way of exporting textures from another game (in this case COD2)to bmp format and then using them in HL?

Ok i am currently making a map for cz, nothing special and had no problems compiling my latest test. Although when i tried to play it on cz it did not work. I open CZ start my own game using my map and it start to load ... starting local game server ... 2bars ... and then my cz just closes, no errors come up, so im a bit unsure on whats wrong to be honest, can anyone help would be much appreciated, thanks.

Ok i cant find the "-texdata" switch on the command line. Where is the command line in HLCSG? Do i have the wrong compiler or am i just not looking in the right place?

Has anyone got experience with this error in compiling? I have put all the textures i have used in my map into one WAD file and when i compile i get the following error:

Error: Exceeded MAX_MAP_MIPTEX
Description: Texture memory usage on the map has exceeded the limit
Howto Fix: Merge similar textures, remove unused textures from the map

Could it be ive used too much of one texture or something along those lines?

Is there any easy ways to find leaks because ive got one in my map and i cant find it anywhere, i know it gives you an entity that is near the leak but still i cant find it , are there any other ways of locating it?

Ok thanks for the help yeh sound pretty boring frm tht description lol sry and yeh theres more to it thts just the bit i need help with, its just a xmas map for my clan. So is there no way to just make the map on going ? E.G. Like awp_speed if anyones played that.

I just want it to carry on even when you get to what would be the end of it on hammer, because obviously you have limited room on hammer.

Ok im making a map where basically you slide down and ya gotta kill the enemy like a ski slope basically. Now is there any way of making a map on going so that wen you get to the bottom of this slide its not the bottom it just keeps going until one team wins. because obviously on hammer theres not enough room to make it as long as you want.

If the above is not possible my other solution is to have a teleporter at the bottom of the slope so wen you hit it at the bottom you just teleport back up to the top and start sliding again.

If anyone could help it would be really appreciated.

Ok i compile my map and i get the error below coming up. Now i traced down these entitys and deleted them and then re-compiled but more entity errors just come up exactly the same as the ones below. I sent the map to my friend (And the map compiled fine before i did this)as he has done some work on my map and then sent it back to me, could this have something to do with it?

Hi people,
Im new to these forums so not sure where to post this hope i guessed right :)

Erm just a quick question really wondering if anyone can help me with making a Health Droid. This is for counterstrike condition zero and i want to know how to make a button that when you press it, it gives you health. Hope you can help and you understand what the hell im talking about.
