The Columbine students were bullied and deeply mentally disturbed, you can't say their playing Doom led them to kill the students. You try spending 4 years having every part of your life criticized and shit on for 7 hours a day 5 days week. Calling them morons is unnecessary, thats like calling a depressed person weak, while their decisions/actions were poor its not entirely their fault.

Well first, my avatar is the ownage Luke lol. But yea X-Men Origins was the best leak I have ever seen, not only was it nearly finished but you got to see some of the scenes before CGI so it was very interesting. I will still be buying TS3 when it comes out, but an early chance to play it won't be bad :).

Ello, i'm having trouble capturing the atmosphere needed in a left 4 dead map. Obviously I want it to be kind of dark and scary and such but it still seems to bright, no matter how low I set my lights. Does anyone have any tips regarding creating atmosphere or lighting, or props related to lighting.

How do you get the models to show up in hammer 3.5? I had it working once but now I can't get it to? Does it matter if I use the hl fdg or the spirit fdg?

Nevermind i got it, now i cant use spirit :( but at least i can see what way the models are pointing and how they will work

Does the map have to be playable, for instance can I use C:SS without having it be an actual fighting map, as in no buy zones, cause C:SS has good textures for what I am remaking.

But on a more serious note, stop spamming random ideas, think for a while, do some basic layout work, I use paint for top down map layout, and i just do basic archetecture first, then advanced things, so think a bit, keep your hands away from your enter button, stop posting threads about mod ideas that will never happen.

My pointfile shows all sorts of lines which run right into brushes, you can not see the void along the lines it shows

EDIt: just created a giant box around the map so even if there was a leak it wouldn't reach the void, and still fullbright

Hi, when I compile my map using ZHLT Compile GUI X? everything goes fine. Then when I start my map in half life it is fullbright. I tried turning lighting brightness down, didn't work. So then I removed all lights. Didn't work. Any ideas?
