You CAN use notepad to edit the CPP files, I think, But you'd need to compile the DLL with visual studio 2008. I think. I am not an expert in coding, so you should probably ingnore this untill Muzzleflash or someone confirms it.

Ask muzzleflash or chickenfist. No, ask Muzzleflash, Chickenfist is'nt around anymore. I'd say you need a C++ compiler of some kind.

Im no expert on coding, but I think it's in the mod folder's Hl2_dll folder. I don't know where it is, but if you code the mod from scratch it should be there... Look around a bit, you'll probably find it, if not, just restart the mod using the HL2 base code and all the files you've made so far.

although their zombie has a error. when you kill it a headcrab appears from nowhere.

Change blood to red, And make no headcrab. I think that code also stops it from spawning...

Try a monstermaker in the box that gets triggered after you destroy it. Set it's 'monster to spawn' to weapon_shotgun. make another for everything you want to spawn, including ammo.

I was thinking about making a Mighty Boot for HL.
Like in Duke Nukem? I think Ambient.Impact.Design may have source files, or at least a HEV model for you to reverse-engineer.

Yeah, the placement of the landmark is essential. If you move anything major within view of the changelevel, you need to move the landmark too, so it won't spawn you in a wall or outside the map. You can move the changelevel, but the landmark MUST stay in the same spot relitive to the current location of your hall/room.

Do you have all the required games? Gmod 10, the retail version, comes with all the required files, but I don't think 9 does. you need HL:S, Hl2, DoD:S, CSS:S and maybe the orange box. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Sorry crazyb2000.

Or load c1a0 in Gmod, Its a bit more stable, and that's most likely what you saw in the videos most of the time. If you don't have money, just do what muzzleflash said.

I'm kinda worried about legal action! Yes, I am paranoid.
Valve is really mod friendly. As I'm sure you know, CS and DoD were once HL mods, and now they're Valve games. I'm also sure Gabe Newell once said "if you want it, mod it." I think since they're letting all sorts of HL tie in mods, even Black Mesa, be made, they won't take legal action against you.
