Also another factor that could kick in is if LG's quality has degraded since this monitor was made, I've never owned any of their newer models so for all i know they could have just become a low quality brand lately, all I know is I've owned this 8 year old monitor that has never had even the slightest of a problem.

I own a +7 year old LG monitor and I've never had a single problem with it, stop beating the shit out of your monitor with a sledgehammer and maybe it'll last longer.

Not necessarily specific interests but a decent categorizing system, on your own profile or such you could make\edit categories so people can check out your photography or such, it's a hell of a lot more convenient then just going through a entire unorganized thread for one purpose, and then having to dig for other misc things that person may have created\posted.

Also Luke, what the fuck you want us to do? Be non-relevant like you?

Those are some squashed boobs if that's true.

A single purpose sight may serve a close together and relating community, but it's also a restricted, narrow set.

Maybe a standalone kitchen [EG restaraunt] will have people who all want to eat food and not watch TV, but wouldn't you think it'd be convenient to have a living room where you can go to if you want to do OTHER things then eat after you're done?

Think of it as dream building in inception, you're making a dream world for the user, but building a dream is just making a world populated with items [and bringing the user into the dream], you're not making the items, therefore it's narrow.

Yes it is, it's implying the creation of a world in which is populated by other non focused things, therefore mapping.

Crollo : milkshape is very weird programm
Like it or not it's the only fully supported and official tool, and also the only tool you should ever use for the compilation of models for the goldsource engine. Making models in other programs is fine, making textures is fine, but the composition of half-life models should only be done in milkshape.

I personally feel WorldCrafters or Mapvault would be far too narrow as even now this community isn't just about mapping, it's more broadly about modding in general with several different subsections. [Mapping, coding, modelling, etc]

Make the object, export it to OBJ or 3DS, or anything milkshape can read, import it into milkshape, create the bones, assign vertices, apply textures. You now have a fully rigged and usable model.

Now you can animate it through milkshape 3D, any other method is the non-standard and in my opinion, incorrect way.

Wouldn't making source have extra maps kind of be slightly unfair?
Obviously the engine itself is superior, but I feel that that's slightly unfair if two identical maps made with identical textures will look significantly better in source, which might detract from the rating of the goldsource map.

As bad as it may sound, you may want to try getting a mini DVD\CD image, and mount that as a last resort if nothing else works. And no, I don't see it being piracy as all it does is emulate the DVD\CD being in the drive, and you cannot actually install games using it.

Hey zeeba, they made ENTIRELY NEW MODELS FOR CONDITION ZERO.
They still modelled them incorrectly. Why should they update the models at all, why bother?
Oh wait, because then it would just be counter-strike with a name change. If you're going to remake the entire game, you could at least remake everything correctly.

Let's put it this way: You paint your apartment wall with flammable paint, if a fire were to start, your entire house would burn extremely fast. The paint begins to get old and you decide to repaint it, and you use flammable paint again. Where's the logic?
