You can access old sites that have been removed a long time ago by going to
http://web.archive.org and pasting the broken link you want in there then selecting a year, some will work, some might not.

well for now im doing this mod but later when i get my new comp ill make an hl2 one combine vs rebels battlefield gameplay type, drivable dropships , gunships, helicopters and the combine can play as an advisor, and customized classes and the rebels would get military aircraft

This mod introduces a whole new gamemode to half-life a battlefront/counter-strike game style with teams Aliens and Humans with classes to choose from and enhanced VGUI menus. The maps will be divided up into 2 parts the main battlefront and xen so the aliens would have to teleport to the battle. Vehicles will be added in the future when i figure out how to make them.

I also need beta testers and some people who can make the main menu for steam version and 2d art designer

SOLVED

[s]i acually have another problem how can i trap a jointeam command exception? Like to prevent the engine from crashing when someone types a number greater then 2
(eg. jointeam 5 or jointeam 9 is handeled by an exception and engine will not crash)

current jointeam command....

i have both versions just valve fucked somthing up in my steam version plus there is a cmd parameter to bypass Preparing to launch <GAME>... dialog, try this, make a shortcut somewhere in your hard drive and put this in there
(substitute / with backslash)

C:/Program Files/Valve/Steam/SteamApps/<Username>/Half-Life/hl.exe -steam -game <MODDIR>

ok i followed the tut and i tryed the pitdrone ingame and it plays reload anim then the npc freezes(not my game, just NPC) and when i get closer it chases me and melee attacks me fine

In my compiled dll the hl.dll the crowbar doesnt play the right material sounds when it i hit a material it only plays default crowbar sound when i walk on a certain material it plays the certain material walk sound like normal and in regular hl (not my mod) everything plays like normal

Please help
