in Weird Func_pushable bug? Post #344819
Just posting this as a curiosity that maybe someone has knowledge of. I'm making a map with a gun and I kept getting this strange bug that stopped me from controlling the guns "mouse look" to aim. I deleted a func_pushable that was clear across the room and eureka! It magically works. I'm fine with choosing the gun over the pushable so no biggie. Any ideas or theories as to what caused this?

Ha part 2: I was curious before posting this if it fixed my other bug that caused an ambient_generic to trigger when it only is supposed to work with a button. Lo and behold it did! So strange... Is this entity bugged or what? I didn't name it the same as any other entity and with the connections view activated I couldn't see an active connection to any other object/entity. If only I would've know this sooner it would've saved me some grief of trying to fix it on and off for the last 2 days.

I could. I know that map had a waypoint issue with the bots. If I found it I was planning on fixing it.

Hi I just wanted to know if someone remembers the name of an old cs 1.6 that took place in a children's fun house type setting. I believe it was a hostage rescue map. It's very similar to the mcdonalds play place map https://gamebanana.com/maps/156082. However, it is not this map. If you remember anything about what I may be looking for leave a post. Thanks

in Steam Summer sale 2015 Post #325915
I remember playing onslaught on a small forest level. Can't remember the name, but I had some crazy action packed matches on it. They were always long matches, but every moment was intense cause you never knew when the other side would gain the advantage and taking back ground on it was very difficult if not impossible. Valve complete pack is $24.99 right now. I'm not sure if that gets any cheaper either. I got it last year, but it's a great deal for anyone who doesn't own a majority of the games in it.

Unreal Tournament 2004 is $3.74 on steam right now. Don't quote me on this, but I don't think it will get much cheaper then that. I think I'm going to get it. It usually goes half off more or less, but it's at 75% off right now which is the cheapest I've seen it. However, I always seem to miss the sales. Probably for the better. I got enough old games as it is. Finding people to play them is the trick. hahaha

I'm not exactly sure what was crashing it, but it seems to have stopped. I had another map that had this entity on it with the same problem. I wondered if the bots had anything to do with it too. Ultimately it seems to have stopped mysteriously so I guess for now its fine. Thanks for the help. I'll take a look at that map and see if I gain any new insight as to why I have problems with this entity.

Hey I was just wondering if anyone has messed with this entity. It seems like it likes to crash my maps. Is there anyway to make it more stable or is it just buggy?

hmmm.... I tried to upload the map, but the site keeps telling me there's a problem with: file type. Not sure why. I read all the instructions a few times to see if I missed something, but I still got the same error. I'll have to post the files in a drop box or something.

Is there some way to ignore a func_water block for a turn? I could have 2 and alternate between them. Is there a way to delete and remake, turn it non-sold and cancel the water effects(swimming etc...), or any combination of that? Just to throw a few ideas out there maybe someone can build off of that.

I tried a few different things based off that video, but none of them worked. I had tried a some similar door techniques and a few other tricks before this too. The problem is if the trigger works it isn't going to reset the origin point instantly. It will always move up or down at .5(the speed I have it set to currently). I need something that can instantly reset it. Thanks for the help though. I'll try whatever is suggested, however, I think this is a engine limitation problem and not a question of which and what entities etc... I'll think about it some more and see if I can come up with a better solution.

I have been working on a map that floods as the round goes on. I have everything working fine for the most part... The only thing is I was wondering if there is a way to reset the water level at the end of each round. So far my only two options have been: 1. Flood the map over the course of the entire match. or 2. Flood it 1 round, drain it the next. Any help is appreciated.
