No no! Do it like hotmail. You must login every once in a while to keep your stuff here. Like every 21 days or 14 days. OR FACE MAP DELETION AND ACCOUNT CLOSING!!! Heh, seriously the map vault has become crowded with 1 login member maps. :|

You will learn! You're already far on your way in cs mapping. Try to make good realistic maps though. Not those crappy "one giant room and lots of AKs and M4s" maps.

Counter-terrorists begin in info_player_start. So have 20 of those in the ct beginning. Then use info_player_deathmatch for the terrorist spawn in the same way.

The light target signals back to the button? Remove this light target and let the button do it all. That could be an issue.

I do it like this. I'll insert the original prefab, ignores the textures and sets it where I want it to be. Then I'll press the center on object keys(ctrl + e) and delete the prefab. Then I'll just insert it again. Problem solved.

It's not spirit that's wrong here. Some of us just haven't got enough experience with Spirit and if we use it, this might just become something the expert mappers are mapping for. the rest of us more regular mappers might just not make the grade. I wan't everone who is interested in this project to be able to add their part.

You need to carve a hole in the walls first and then build four separate brushes to create the hallway. And make sure there's no holes into empty space when you're done. Otherwise the map will not compile.

Anything in the custom games menu is a mod.

But for 3D: Only use Milkshape for converting. For modelling use Gmax or wings3d. They're freeware. :)

I'm in but I just very recently began mapping seriosly and changing to spirit, which sounds very complicated and full of stuff I've never seen before. So unless someone can point out a good place full of spirit tutorials then I recommend we don't use it. A good mod should rely on the number of available entities if you know what I mean.

Make a giant block around the entire level. Run only csg and bsp and begin shrinking the box. Reduce the box a little and rund csg and bsp very frequently.
