And I've got yet another one: Martyrs

A french horror film made in 2008, Martyrs centers around two girls named Lucy and Anna. In the first scene of the film, a young Lucy escapes from a dark room where she has been held captive and tortured. What happens afterwards is all related to that experience but there are a few twists in the film. I can't really write anything else about the story because that would just ruin it.

I usually don't have trouble watching horror movies, but there are some scenes in this movie that are just gutwrenching to watch. It's not the kind of scary-thing-jumps-out-from-the-shadows fear that is so common in the genre, it's more angsty. You really feel sorry for the victims. I highly recommend this film, just be prepared. :) 10/10

This is on my old stationary, which is becoming slower by the day, a simple black background and a small picture of my girlfriend's eyes. Seeing all the widescreen photos makes me want to upgrade it :P

Got another one: Harry Potter and the order of the phoenix.

An alright movie but they cut tons of stuff out, more so than the other films did (at least as far as i remember). All in all an entertaining movie worth watching if you like the other films in the series. 6.5/10

Inspired by "Favourite films". So, which was the last movie you saw and what did you think about it?

Mine was a japanese movie called "Pulse" (aka Kairo). In a nutshell it's about a website on which you can see real ghosts. Whoever visits the website will commit suicide. Pulse follows the standard J-horror template, which today is starting to get a bit old, but it was released in Japan in '99 I think so I can't really hold lack of originality against it. The camerawork is pretty interesting, and it has some subtle details like how the streets become more and more deserted as the movie goes on, symbolising isolation and depression. I don't know if some things were lost in translation or whatever, but I had trouble following the plot from time to time. All in all an okay movie, though not good enough to warrant the cult following I've heard it has in Japan. 4.5/10

Looking forward to:
  • Mass Effect 2
  • Original Perfect Dark on Xbox live arcade
  • New version of Monkey Island: Lechuck's revenge. Don't know if they are even working on it but i'm looking forward to it nontheless.
  • Cautiously optimistic about Scribblenauts as well

Never cared for his music, but I still feel sorry for him. He's been sick for a long time, and imagine the mental stress he had to endure with his debts and the constant lawsuits and so on. Dying at age 50 in a heartattack is no way to go.

Well done sir! If it weren't for you that kid may well have died. This sort of thing really gets me going, especially when someone enforces his/her faith onto another, like in this case. If it were the mother that was sick, I'd just say "Fine, glhf", but doing this to a child is unacceptable.

Faith is by definition something intangible that you believe in. There is no more proof that some higher power exists than there is proof that it doesn't exist. Even believers should be able to accept this as fact. Text written in an old book isn't evidence, and on the flipside, if God does exist we wouldn't be able to prove his existence unless he wants us to.

Point being, refusing medical care because of religion is fucking stupid.

I got a standard black background with a picture of my gf in the middle. Actually tried to clean up the desktop and ended up removing about 20 different half-finished FruityLoops songs, so now it's neat and tidy again.. Tomorrow it will be cluttered again:p
