Hello :)

Does anyone know how can I stop an item being thrown somewhere it shouldnt be?
For example, if it's thrown into block 'x', the item is immediately returned to it's starting location.

Thanks.

What do you mean by item? Can you give us a more specific question?

Sorry, I should have mentioned it's TFC I'm mapping for.

It is possible to throw the items your holding on TFC (item_tfgoal), they can be thrown so they are out of reach. Is there a way of stopping the item being thrown there? I hear the i_t_g can do it.

I'd suggest you have a look at TFMapped too (Google).

Fair enough, just a suggestion. I can't say I know of any of our regulars being TFheads, but I may be wrong :).

I know this is TFC, but I have a few suggestions. I know it isn't exactly what you asked for, but here they are:

Try putting a func_wall over the spot where you shouldn't be able throw it. That way, it would just stop it from getting there.

Or if that wouldn't work, try a trigger_push near the unthrowable spot and set the direction to the direction away from the spot. There might be a "No Clients" flag, so if there is one, then you probably want to use that.

The func_wall will stop people walking there, which they should, but I like the trigger_push idea :) I'll give that a go. Thanks :D
