I got GCFScape, cant find tutorial on how to use, I made a folder on the desktop for wad files to be stored, then I extracted the wad files from steam/sprites/czstrike to this folder, then I wnt to hammer options and added wad files, still not working, the question is are the wad files that are "extracted" just copied and are still left in the steam
, and what am I doing wrong, also if I decide to delete the wad file folder on my desktop that I created, will the game files in steam remain intact? thanx LeFtY.

If you delete and extracted file the original file wont get damaged. Can you describe the "not working" part alittle more. What is happening when you add them to hammer? btw, copied files are still left in the steam system.

Ok the file that I add to hammer from the desktop disapears in the wad files ok but then disapears when you reopen hammer? :(, and I dont get any extra wads?

the real question is what path do I use to extract wad files from steam czstrike to the hammer program using the GCFScape program.

Any path you want. Might make sense to put them in the Hammer directory. I don' recommend that you extract them into anywhere in the Steam directory hierarchy, though.
