I have tried to make my npc's talk for a week now, but I can't figgure out how to use the Scripted_sentence..
HL2's scripted_scentences is a lot more weird than in HL1, so I ask the question, how do I get an NPC to say something?

I've seen people here on TWHL that knows how to make npc's say stuff, but no one says how.. ^^
So I know that someone here on TWHL knows, so anyone, please help me! >_<

Thanks!

I seatched google, found nothing.
Searched the forums, found only for HL1.. ;)

You need to know the sentences.txt and use a trigger output to target a scripted_senquence.

useful information for sentences:
Use ambient generic, not only do you NOT have to know the names of the sentences but you also get to pick which entity it comes from easy as pie. :P

Yes scripted_sentence is the real way to do it besides choreograhy, but hell.. whatever makes it easier and works is the best way in my books teehee

So this is how I do it:
I first, make a NPC, then, make a scripted_sentence, then, I make a normal trigger_once..
I connect the scripted_sentence with the NPC, then, I make the trigger, trigger the scripted_sentence, and when I make that output, I also chose wich sentence I want the NPC to use? lol
did I get it right?`

I can't test it until tomorrow cuz I'm on a place wich doesn't got anything HL related! O.o

you pre-determin the sentence in the scripted_sentence i believe? You wont need parameters for the output

Just setup a scene with faceposer (vcd) and it will be MUCH more fluid and much easier.
