That'll be a worm. Set the clock back a day when it happens and then go to Windows Update and download stuff. You might need to set it back further if you're on dial-up, or get properly-downloadable stuff put on a CD for you.
Never connect a Windoze PC to the 'net without a firewall.

Wow, the MS Blaster is still out there? I've been running an unpatched Windows 200o SP3 installation on my other HDD for months, without an antivirus or even a firewall. I haven't hit any problems yet! Although, that may be because I never use it.

Linux wasn't intended as a server OS, it was intended to be a free clone of Unix with the desktop in mind, that's why it was first developed for the 386, which was a processor for home users.

Calling people "dummy's" isn't very mature. Plus, your grammar is all wrong. "dummy's" actually means "dummy is" which is completely uncomprehensible. I think you are looking for the work "dummies'".

If you keep getting the 'lsass.exe cocked up' message when you boot, then its probably memory corruption, i just lost 2 sticks of 512mb ram and my 256mb radeon atlantis 9200 too memory corruption, may they rest in peace the culprit was a power cut when i had windows server 2003 installed, jus installed and the memory caching was still oin so the powercut seemed to kill everything

That's odd to have a powercut kill EVERYTHING. I've pulled the plug on my machine several times, sometimes in frustration, sometimes by accident. I haven't had so much as a corrupted byte yet.

Yeah I have, a few months ago. It's very bloated. You have to specify a reason to shutdown, how time wasting is that!??!!? Almost all Unix compatible systems have a shutdown command. Go up to any Unix compatible system (including Mac OS X) and type "shutdown -H now". It's pretty much instant.

Goon. NTx has "shutdown -t 0". Not exactly dissimilar.
I'm sure you don't have to. Bear in mind that they actually finally made a "server" operating system which was actually evidently intended for servers. Although they left IE in.
