Canada's a nice place. I had a relative there once i went to see once, (who lived in Vancouver) its pretty cool.
Canada had conflict in WWI, when the British went to war, so did its empire. Sending Canada with it, and also fought in WWII
And just for the sake of it, people i know always say Toronto is the capital, its not, its just Canada's largest city. Ottawa is the capital.
