i bought one of these and tried putting in my dell dimension 2350. my friend said that the shiny metal part on the bottom looks like it has lines because you cut at the lines if it doesnt fit. so i carefully cut off the bottom so that it fit into 1 of the slot things in my computer. now it doesnt work. did i cut it wrong? id post pics, but no camera. is there anyway i can fix this? thanks for any help.

awh, poor videocard, you could have had such a life ahead of you.

how can people be so dumb, id understand the fact that dumb people might try stuff like this, but they should at least be smart enough to know that trying it is a bad idea

Did anyone hear about that guy who tried to fit an FX-57 into the wrong type of socket and it wouldnt fit so he hammered it in?

Heck why doesn't he eat it while cutting it and hammering it...
My god they must be mentally ill because no normal human would buy an expensive GFX card and start hammering it or bending it just because it don't fit. Boy if I had a new one I would treat it like a GOD!

It is fake. The videocard is not on top of that wooden surface you can see in the pic. The card has self-induced shadows (or however you say that in english) but it has no shadows in the table surface. Even I could've done a better job with photoshop :

The light is coming from a west-southwest direction. You can clearly see it in the fan and in some pieces of the card. I dont see any equivalent shadows on the table.
There's another picture in the same thread in which it is more than obvious that is has been (as someone said):

photochopped

And there should be a little shadow line in the most bottom left corner of the card. The metal is narrower right at the end, meaning that part doesnt touch the surface and should have a shadow underneath.

The card is blatantly from a media shot. Look at the reflections ? absolutely nothing distinguishable.

Oh well I guess if you look at it good he forgot to shade the metal tab that goes in the PCI slot. And on the right there is a bit of grey area where he forgot to texture.

The picture of the card looks real, there is hardly any shadow visible, and the colours match. Unseless you can see more of the enviroment i dont think you can say its fake. Neither can i be sure its real.
