Pweh...finished the hardest texturing work I've ever done!! The staircase is ready but I have only one quastion! Can monsters climb steps in the hight of 16 units and length of 32 units? :

And so are you :D Just answer me and i will not spam :D Anyway, here is a good tip from a n00b mapper, before you start on a map, think of what entitys you need, make a test map to test everything you are not sure will work, and if it works you know how to do, if it doesn?t try again or ask for help :D :heart:

You can use the cordon bounds to compile only a section of your map, like the staircase for example.

I saw a list somewhere of the minimum and maximum heights for halflife for the player, like the height of something to crouch under, the max stair height, but I can't remember where it was. planethalflife maybe?

if they cant, just put a slanted clip brush diagonally up the stairs. thats how i made hostages in CS climb my stairs

yep it does work (hunters idea) and it works great, I use that method alot (most of the time) :glad:

Remember though that it has to be a func_monsterclip because a clip brush alone will only restrict the player.
