hmmm, I wonder if you could modify the hl engine (if you could get the source) to have fewer limits? After all, computers now are far better than they were when hl was introduced!

And I'd map my town, as well as all of the buildings, and inside them, and such.

why a city? that would be too big. maybe a hotel, i know of this really cool hyatt we always go to when we go to Washington D.C. (Bethsda actually). It has an atrium an a pool on the top floor, but not outside. So cool, actually got in a fight there.

It would. Somehow I just wasnt impressed with the graphics in BF2. If they looked like HL2 it would be awesome.

Yeah, personally, i'd map the entire world my avatar lives in. Since that's a common theme of mine. I'd also expand on the details of my gyradell theme. oh how fun it would be to explore a century old abandoned industrial greenhouse colony.

I'd map a whole country, using 100's of reference photos, and try to get it accurate as possible. Probably America, tbh, there's so much variety of enviroment. Although, I'd probably get the player to kill Bush as the primary objective.
