You're in America? Just to sort out terms. I'm at a college now, but that's a sixth-form college. 16-18 year-olds: A-levels and such. Then we go to university, as I intend to, to study Electronic Engineering. Alex Wood, MEng. w00t.

Anyway, I'm almost 18, senior in high school (USA) and taking a web design technical certificate at a local technical college. But after high school, I'm looking for a hardware related job (not programming; it drives me nuts ) like networking, or I could get into level design

That course just lets you say you can work to their "standard" and its recognised by many employers worldwide, not just Microshite!

18 years old. Just started community college (although taking only a math class, then a career/life planning class on Oct 25), then plan to transfer to a 4-year college after 2.5 years. I don't know what I'm going to study, but probably something with computers, like computer game design or computer programming. Basically computer science.

16, Currently Studying the first year of my A-Levels at Clitheroe Royal Grammar 6th Form College, UK. They being Chemistry, Maths, Biology and Critical Thinking. I hope to study either Medicine, Biomedical Chemistry or similar at University.

I could've done university here in Holland, but I decided to go to highschool, or whatever it is called in America or other countries. It's kind of the same as university, just simpler and more practical. I chose for it because of the practical aspect.
So far it's going well: I'm in my second year, doing some fourth-years things as an extra to finish this study faster, and that's interesting subjects actually.
Oh, and it's a programming course. Informatics.
After that, I'm going to find a job, maybe try something in the games industry but if that doesn't work out, I'm fine with a 'regular' job.

Ok, I'm in my third university year, Architecture School to be precise. Before that, I spent a year in another uni doing computer engineering, but It was nothing like I expected. Just math and more math.
In architecture, I still get to use computers but only for doing things I like: map making, rendering, image editing etc.
The whole thing takes 5 years, although I might be forced to spend 6 years at uni because of some subjects. After that, I might not be a proper architect, but instead I'd like to have a job as an artistic and technical manager of a videogame/cinema company.
The good thing about architects is that we are forced to learn lots of things (both humanistic and technical) so there are lots of jobs you can choose from after graduating.

I am in my first year at (USA) Senior high (UK) sixth form of a grammar school (according ta a dictionary).im taking sience and computer sicens with math, and with a media profile. Oh yea im 15 years old(birthaday in december).
The only class that im actualy learning things in is social studies...

I am currently 17 (October 14th i will be) I go to a Technical High School, I am in my Senior (12th) year, and I am cruisin, it is so easy. Im ranked 4th in my class, and I work for Smith Brother's Insurance doing IT Desktop Support. After High School, I plan on attending the Coast Guard Academy (dont laugh, i dont wanna get shot) for Computer Analysis (maybe some Marine Biology involved). After which i plan to continue with my Desktop Support position, and eventually become Head Network Administrator. I am IC3 Certified, and I plan on being A+ Core Hardware Certified by December. After College, I plan on getting married to my wonderful girlfriend at the age of 26.
I've got things pretty well planned out.

I want to join a branch of the military, and I dont want to get shot, or move too far from home, so I chose to go to the Coast Guard Academy, it is less than an hour from my house, and they only partol the coast. I understand that it isnt 100% that I wont get shot, but it is less of a chance than for a Marine or someone in the Army.

shite, i forgot, you prolly dont know all of the US Military Branches. You Have the Army Reserve, the Marine Corps, the US Air Force, and the Coast Guard. The Coast Guard is more of a localized military. they patrol the coast of the US, busting druggies, helping people at sea. Have you ever seen the movie "The Perfect Storm" The Coast Guard's job was to try and save he fishermen. That is basically the job of the Coast Guard. Their logo is "The Sheild Of Freedom"
