I just figured something out! And it's actually useful! I've been wanting to edit model skins for some time now but I didn't want to spend money on Photoshop or use MS Paint. So, I figured I'd try to use WALLY to edit the skins...and it worked! All I did was export the model's skin from HL Model Viewer and opened it up in WALLY. (The skin file is only a .bmp). I then used some of the tools there to edit the skin and saved it as the .bmp file again. I then imported the skin for the model into the viewer and viola! I had a new skin for the model. It was so easy and the skin actually came out great! You can save the model from the viewer and use it in your maps. WOOT!

Of course it works but photoshop is much better! ;)

"Viola" is an instrument :P.

This is half-covered in a tutorial, just doesn't use Wally for editing the image (nobody does).

Uh, Elon, being registered certainly doesn't mean you've paid for it, I hope?

I find photoshop CS1 and CS2 pretty crappy compared to Photoshop 7.0.

Alright, I just had to say something about this.

The only features that make APS superior to GIMP are those, related to working towards print and the brush-engine. On all other domains GIMP is equally powerfull or even better. Many APS features, like the automated image-area-removal (dunno how the call it), may appear amazing at first, but they're just gimmicks, to catch nubs.
Wally is really not made for serious texture/skin creation.
Get GIMP!

I've been using Photo Filtre ever since my PSP trial ended.

Totally free and I like it so far. Gimp is next for me, if this one doesn't work out...
