Server is enforcing file consistency for models/p_famas.mdl
Bad file Server is enforcing file consistency for models/p_famas.mdl

its only happening on my one map (the map has no buying and u spawn with a knife and a scout meaning there are no famass anyway)

i deleted all the new stuff in my models folder since last time i compiled the map and played but it wont work now

i did add a lot more teleporters and a few more destinations but i dont see why that should affect it.... any ideas?

Googled, and found these.

Teh first one says to do this:
howto fix : delete the p_famas.mdl or download a diffrent p_famas.mdl
I think I had this same problem with the shell.mdl in HL1 once when I was dicking around a little with that paticular model....

Just one server? Maybe it's out of date itself?

ive never even touched a custom model b4 this error... i play leagues and stuff so theres no point in having them... everything is pretty much default except my own binds which definently dont have a thing to do with the problem

AHHH! WHERE DID I GO? :D anyway i figured it out: in my wad was a texture that was WAY too big and in the compile all it said was "warning texture too large and it gave the name" so i didnt even realize this problem since the compile went too fast... any way if you get an error that says

"Server is enforcing file consistency for models/p_famas.mdl
Bad file Server is enforcing file consistency for models/p_famas.mdl"

it means u have a texture in one of the wads u used that is too big
*and i guess it also could be self-explanatory if u use corrupt models ;) *

Moral: always read the compile log when stuff doesn't work?

You should know better, Mario ;).

You are using a custom p_model for the famas. Don't use custom p_models period 99% of them don't pass the consistancy test when connecting to a server, possibly even your own.
Its not a map problem it's a client side problem, switch back to the default and you shouldn't have this problem.

did u read anything i said? i dont and have never had custom problems and i fixed the problem by resizing a picture in my wad... i read the same thing happened to another mapper and all he said was he fixed his custom wad...

and seventh i didnt read the log because there were no errors found except the "warning too large" which didnt stop the compile anyway
and since i saw a p_famas.mdl error i was baffled almost to the point in reinstalling cs... o well problem gone and hopefully if anyone else gets this problem they will search this forum and find this topic :)
