Ever noticed that in HL2 and CS source that there are small building versions of big buildings that are in the map? (These small buildings can only be found with noclip on.) An example is Aztec in CS:S. Spectate and go under the map. There are small building models of actual buildings in the map. Does anyone know why???

Models? I think you're confused, these are made from solid blocks. NPCs are models

Elon, no, those are props. I believe they are part of the skybox.

They are indeed part of the skybox, or, 3D skybox, as it's called. You can find out more about it in the Valve wiki. A Google search could give you some good resources, too.

I didnt mean they are models in the sense of the game engine. I meant smaller scaled down versions of the original (models) Thats very cool that they are part of the skybox :)

The screenie of my cs_justice map shows these small building model props in the distance, outside the perimeter wall.

If you download the map, you can see them better in-game.

Ages ago I made this map and used 3D skyboxes to make the pipes in the distance effect:

Was the ';)' implying sarcasm? I hope so, or you may need to get your eyes checked, Satch. :<!

.... seriously. I fail to believe how you can actually pimp such poor work, habboi. It's like you WANT to show people how much you suck.
