I had a look over the fourms and found a few threads but no awsewers. I got this error says access is denied when compiling. here the compile log:

this problem has been in the forums more times than i can count. USE THE SEARCH FEATURE!!!

I searched but when I looked there were no answers. READ BEFORE YOU POST I SAID THAT I HAD A LOOK.

Just re-do all the configuration stuff.

I believe your compile tools are not in the correct directory. Default directory should be Hammer/Editor/tools. If this is not the case make sure they are, and check if your paths in Hammer to days compile tools are ok.

Just tryed that and tryed to compile but no luck at all

Your compile configurations are wrong. Windows reports "access denied" cause it can't find the files.

Follow the tool paths in your configurations and check if the tools're actually there.

Yeah they are, I put them in there, then changed the paths in hammer to where there were

weird? what did you change?

Nothing since last time

Do not save your .rmf and/or .map file in the bsp directories. Save them in the provided maps directory in Hammer.

That same error happened to me before too. I think I just installed new compile tools and redirected Hammer. Think that did it.

Geez, what the hell did you do.

Did you renamed/moved/deleted any folders/files before the error came up?

Computers don't make mistakes, people do. If you get my meaning.

Well my old 2 HDDs decided to stop working for me and I had to use my spare which meant I had to re-install everything and installinging it all again cause some errors with almost all of the stuff I had to re-install

I geuss there's your problem. Somewhere.

Well I won't be able to put up my map for the compo now

Reinstall. Reinstall everything:

• Half-Life (Steam or non-Steam)
• ZHLT
• Valve Hammer Editor

Reconfigure all of these, and it should work.
