Does anybody have a .RMF of a prefabricated Black Mesa subway train? (Like the one at the very beginning of the game) I've tried countless times to construct one of these but I haven't been very successful. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could help me out.

Would it be illegal to decompile the map with the train in Half-Life and use it in your own map?

Yes, that is illegal. Only if people provide the source (rmf) with their maps, youa re allowed to use its content, but only if you credit them, which is the case with the map Otto has provided for you.

It would be impossible to use a decompiled one anyway. Decompile programs completely destroy the actual .map files. I've used one to decompile one of VALVe's map with the tram in it. The program wrecked the file so bad that the subway train was beyond "repair" and a fixable compile state. All a decompile program is for is to see how entity work is done in a map. It is NOT for aquiring prefabs.

some time ago i found a rmf with.
the 2 trains u get 2 drive
subway train- (well i had already made my own by then)
tank
apc
4 by 4 car
millertry truck- (It wasn`t complete and the front was wrong so i fixed it)
and something else.

I`ll have a look for it.

lol. my seach for .rmf came up with 84 files. Quite a few maps i thought i had lost.
this also contains a the train for the multi player map with a train.

I have NO idea who made this or where i got it from.

I found the same prefabs on gamedesign.prefabs(rust.prefabs)

BTW: I made a train prefab in my old compo entery, check the vault.

Its actualy prefabs.gamedesign.net

Not for long anymore anyway.
