I was happily making my own levels, thinking p new ideas, then my computer started going screwy. When ever I try to compile a map, The Half life console (command, sort of like 'Dos') screen comes up at teh bottom left corner and says that the file does not exist... I'm almost convinced that i have all teh configurations corrcet. Why does this happen and how can I fix this?

Does your map have a space in the name? Try removing it.

Check the configuration, you placed all the "put compiled maps in" thingies right.
There might be some mega error in the compile log(so that BSP wont run), try chekcing that.

I checked out the configuration and it was all correct. The map name wasn't a problem either. The cosole screen always has he same sentance.

Error: Could not find map on server.

Did you check to see if the map was copied to your maps folder?
