Well, you can destroy them using the KillTarget field of an entity like a relay.

you could have an invisable func_door/just about anything brush that conseals it. Or try googling for the "lost" func_door_func_ladder entity. I've heard actually does exist! It's a ladder that can retract like a door! :D

7th, its generally NOT a good idea to killtarget brush ents. HL can intermittently crash because of it :confused:

I thought the skin property was an NS thing, or is it in zoners 2.5.3?

you can make anything a ladder(or a liquid)
give it this property:

skin

the value determines what the brush is, not the entity, valid ones are : ladder, water etc.. these have numbers like : -16
So if we did this on a existing brush entity, would the entity lose it's previous attributes, example func_wall or would it be both a func_wall and a func_ladder? :

No,

the skin property is only how the brush entity interacts with the player

and this works in HL, Spirit.. any mod as far as i know...

so you can have a func_door that behaves like a door and ladder

i've made a switchable ladder before - it's pretty straight foward.

-16 is the value for ladder; others include water, etc...

turn smart edit off and add a new key manually

name: skin
value: -16

would make a ladder

If the rest works... make the entity a func_wall_toggle and you can trigger it.
