It's not even a question to be helped, but do some of you can tell if it already happened that it costed a whole day to run a map, because I want to know if it's normal that it's so long and maybe with that maybe I can do a kind of schedule that shows like a certain length of numportal and the lights and show how much time it needs before it ends. I don't know if you have one like this or if it exists, but maybe it can help people. I don,t know really all what I just said, for that I'm assking you guys. Maybe it's the news of the... week... : :zonked:

Compile times of a day or more are possible, though only for either very complex and large maps, or very unoptimized ones...
So I assume you're having trouble with optimizing your map for compiling. Check zombies Optimizing page for some good info on that.

Some people claim that batch-compiling tools give a more accurate account of what process is taking place, but I dont know if this is true.

Mmmh... ok that's how finish this chat... But it's nice I know this guy Zombie computer. I just wanted to try to put some lists but anyway. The End

After checking a little the site, I don't even see how long it takes for, hum like exemple, 2000 numportals, you did everything that is told in the site, but how long does it take again? That what i meant

( a little later )

Yah.. ok.. it's sure when we talk about hour it's more precise but some kind of unsual... So ok. Now everyones who want to reduce his map need to read that chat ;)

If you are not done with the map, and want to see how it looks so far in game, when you press F9 to compile, check fast for vis and rad. This will reduce the compile time ALOT! But it doesnt look as good as normal compile. It will reduce a compile time of 3 hours to about 6 minutes.

my vis unfortunately takes 2 seconds to fast vis and 8 and a 1/2 hours to full vis (with a crapload of optimisation!), which means I will be leaving it to a final compile

My current map is compiling in 15 minutes. Gotta love prop models and dismaps for their VIS simplicity. :)

Bah yah but I meant it's to do a list of how long are certains Vis and prop, but captain showed a tutorial from Zombie Computer who did that kind of files. But me i have the good idea to compile my map during night and if nessecary during day school the tomorow ;)
