is there a way to make a func_platrot spin on the z axis but move horizontally on the x or y axis?

Doesn't seem so after looking at it in the entity guide, but I must admit I have absolutely no experience using this...

You could probably do it with a train and angular velocity, but again, never tried it...

I'd have to agree with rowleybob on this one.
Either that or use Spirit

Thats a train with angular volocity. The part from the wall that breaks is either a func_wall_toggle or a breakable. just target the disapearing part of the wall with the last path corner. If the train doesn't fit in the wall that disapeared in the end just change the angular volocity until it fits.
