listen guys...when I make a water brush with HAMMER v 3.4 and I put the FX amount to "0" then I check the level run and I see there ain't no water....there IS water, but I can't see water :S
I can swim in the area though :S

what could be the problem

change the fx - 0 is clear.

dont mess with the render properties with water, unless you want it transparent.

Check the "Render Mode"(default: normal).

ah ok, thnx :) I put it to texture everytime...cuz many tutorials say so

.. No they dont.
Texture make entities more or less transparent(0=invisible 255=fully visible)

damn, I thought 0 was visible and 255 invisible since u have to put "tree leaves on 255" to make the blue area invisible

What are you talking about now? 3 leaves? blue area?
Where are you from, btw?

Re-Do the water!
  • Give the fx amount atleast 170
  • Give it a colour (equvalent to the colour of your water colour)
  • Make sure it's water not slime
That is basic water, I use this configeration most of the time and it works well for me.
