Meh games these days are all the same even on consoles...The thing with PC games is you can edit them and have more fun.

I used to love consoles until I started playing on the new PC...

The last PS2 game i'm waiting for is Kingdom Hearts 2 then I'll see if there are worthy games to get for the PS3...

I'm not looking to any of these new consoles until I get a HD-capable LCD-TV. And there's no way in hell that I'm getting x360 until 2nd generation modchips are available.

We'll see how good PS3 and Revolution are in near future.

Revolution looks okay, buts its not the 'amazingly innovative console' everyone beleives it to be. Xbox 360 is what i have access too, and i like it alot because of it's Xbox Live component, which is very cool. PS3 can just forget about it.

You do realise that no channel actually broadcasts in HD? And that no channel will for about another three years? Buying a HD TV wont improve the picture from your console games unless you have a non decent TV to start with.

Its so funny, loads of people are going out and buying HD TV's just because the name implys that it has a better picture, it doesnt do shit unless you are watching a HD program / material and there isnt any around yet!

You can use it with your computer OR with your next generation consoles.

All the new consoles (Except Revolution) send 720p (x360) or 1080p (PS3) signal. So, it DOES look MUCH better on TV that actually can support 720p or 1080p.

I dont care what anyone says about what console 'rulz' or that PC's are better, I know that, but consoles have their perks. Like alexb911 said, some games are just better on consoles. And to top it off, I'm not paying for the next console, so free gaming for me - WOOHOO!

I think PS3 will be too expensive. If I had my own money I might think about it, but it's out of the question. The Formula1 game looks nice, and there will be the usual Gran Turismo and Tekken there. I also agree that an HDTV is needed. Awesome graphics will never be so awesome at 640x480...

Wow looks arnt everything. My computer now is better than Xbox 360's hardware. I do think the Revolution will be better because it has all the NES,SNES,N64,and gamecube titles for download. Plus it comes with a regular controller that docks with the remote I also think PC games are much better because of modding them, mapping, etc. You cant get good control with a console controller (except fighting games).

consoles are all well and good, yeah good fun for the bedroom, but once youve completed a game... thats it lol. Online gaming on consoles is good for the simple reason that if you play online PC alot then the console is a getaway , something diffent... and THATS about it...
PC's are too good. Although bit off topic... did you hear that they are making a MAC that is comptiblewith ALL PC software... which means all your pc games you love, can be bought for mac. MAC is already the shizz for music equipment... i love pc's and hate macs, but for music it has to be mac.... does anyone think that one day mac will take over, even if we stand by our good ole pc's?

Revolution has as much processing power as my nan in the bath. Now that it is a piece of shit hardware guys. Think about all their consoles, only good enough to handle cartoon-style, los-poly games such as Big Mutha Truckas, and Crash Bandicoot!

PS3 has proven to be more powerful than ALL the next gen consoles - standard 60GB hard-drive, Bluetooth controllors. IT WILL PWN!!!

And are we forgetting that PS2 and PS3 do / will have online gaming... so it can be just a fun, and played long after completed. I stil sometimes play Chaos Theory (Splinter Cell) on PS2 now - you just have to avoid the fucktards that are on there 24/7 and cry if they loss.

nintendo are devoted to the games. you can play the rev games, as well as the gamecube games, as well as EVERY SINGLE NINTENDO CONSOLE GAME EVER MADE. as well as some handhelds.

I will never buy any POS console from Sony. They can take all their mindless, brainwashed fanboys and horrific DRM-infected propietary formats and shove it up their ass.

And for those of you who say the PS3 is "proven" to be more powerful than the 360 dont know jack. The GPU in the PS3 has 24 pixel shader processors, while the GPU in the 360 has 48 shader processors. Sony can brag all they want about how powerful the CELL processor is, but in the end it all comes down to who has the more powerful graphics processing, and that would go to the 360.

I dont own either console, nor do I intend to. My X1900XT beats both the 360 and the PS3. My PC beats the PS3 and it isnt even released yet. PCs are way better than consoles. Though I do have some interest in the Revolution, that actually shows some promise.

I'm with Hrny on this. Sony deserve to be boycotted for atleast a couple of years to come. Revolution shows the most promise so far, even though it has a laughable amount of processor power. It'll cost like $200 and the games will be around $40. My bets are on Nintendo.

Why should Sony be boycotted? I kinda understand boycotting Sony BMG after those rootkit-scandals, but why the whole company?

sometimes I don't want to hack, change, mod, train, etc, a game, with the worries of it all going horribly wrong, I just want to play the bloody game!!! I think every1's got a bit too caught up in coding, etc, and actually forgotten what gaming is all about.

Game Consoles are meant for hard-core gaming, they are solely designed for that purpose - so, in many circumstances, they are fun, and offer countless ways to entertain your way through a summer holiday!!!

I know computers will always be the dominant piece of hardful in our lives, but it not perfect[i]. It wasn't designed for gaming, they have only [i]fairly recently had components adapted to suit gaming more. The only reason that they are so powerful is hardware creators saw potential in computers, - the fact that one machine could carry out so many different tasks, and jumped on the band wagon - forgetting where gaming should really belong -

ON A 32INCH+ TV, with a load of mates, surround sound, and shooting the crap out of every thing that moves!!! There's not as much of this excitement on computers except at LAN parties. You are playing solitery, in a world of your own. Gaming should be more about sharing your experiences with others, "WHOA, DID YOU SEE ME JUST WASTE THAT GUY?!?!" "HOW GOOD WAS THAT JUMP, HUH?!?" Not some obsessive teenager glued to a 17" monitor in a dark, smelly room, for days on end.

Console gaming is fun, but not hardcore gaming. Hardcore gaming is all about siting in a dark room for days on end. Console gaming is more of a joke than a serious gaming platform.

Who needs consoles when you can play with your friends online without the hassle of walking to their house.

Who needs consoles when you can play those games with higher graphics and are able to add mods.

Who needs consoles when you can have LAN party's with popular games such as CS:S.

Looking forward to a PS3 if I had to choose one. But I'd still take a good pc over all 3.

yeah, i agree that I would happily pick a pc over a console - but they have their differences, and the odd LAN party and over the internet just ain't enough / the same as a group of m8s messing around on a ps2!

I dont dislike consoles, its just that PCs are better. More power (in my case) and theyre much more versitle. Although, Ill agree you cant beat consoles when it comes to gaming with a groupd of friends. Games like Super Smash Bros. and Halo make great social games.

I don't like consoles too much either, but unfortunately some of my favorite series are on the consoles only, forcing me to have at least one recent system at hand.
