Wow, I guess I knew about the water protecting player from fall damage, but this gives me some new ideas
I was recently working on a trap, where the player fell through a series of pipes pointed almost straight down, with twists and turns. Depending on how the player fell/jumped into the trap, the steep falls would usually kill him, even with a series of trigger_hurts set to heal.
If I line the tunnels with a thin layer of water, it should protect the player, no matter where or how he impacts the pipes
The water will actually fit the theme nicely too.
