I am thinking about buying an xbox 360, or the new Nvidia 7900 512 mb video card. What I want to know is: Does xbox 360 look good on a regular television? Ive heard that it looks crap without an HDTV. Is this true? Does anyone have it to comment?

It looks just like any other game on a normal TV, though i hear it shines on a HDTV.

still looks great on a non-hd tv, really, don't listen to other people. it makes a difference, but not that much!

HDTV allows crisper and smoother visuals etc. etc.
But yes it looks quite fine on a normal TV. Oh and don't buy Perfect Dark Zero, it stinks. :tired:

Thanks :)

BTW: I was thinking about DOA 4 and a FPS. I actually was thinking about PDZ. Does it really stink?

It does (PD), DOA 4 isn't much better looking than it's originals either. It's a little rushed but good fighting none-the-less.

The best FPS for the 360 is GRAW, it rocks. You have to play it to see what I mean. Words cannot describe how fun it is. It's a whole new type of gameplay.

I'm waiting the DoA Volleyball 2 for x360 and one-hand-controller, so I can play with my joystick at the same time I'm playing the game..

Whats GRAW?

Perfect dark blows so incredibly bad. It has a slight response time in moving the aimer around so you have to anticipate things. It is ROCK STIFF. There is no "breathing interference" with the aimer, and no deceleration at the end of the move, so it feels very generic. A guide will actually TELL YOU WHERE TO GO, and I havn't found a way to turn it off... Dont get PD:Z

dajuppi, ewww, thery are....rendered.

GRAW = Ghost Recon : Advanced Warfighter (google)

I was thinking about 360, meaning to get one. Far Cry seems good, never played the first one, and you can make your own levels(and don't say "It won't be Hammer"), so that is fun for me right there. I don't know about GRAW, I have played Ghost Recon before, and, it kinda sucked I thought, but hey, my friend has it, and you can customise your guy alot, so that will probably be up there.

Can't wait for Too Human, that is one game I am wetting myself over, It looks sooo sweet, hopefully it will live up to it's hype (looking at you Perfect Dark: Zero....)

That it is, it's an amazingly addictive game. My brother's also got Condemned: Criminal Origins and it's not as bad as most people say, it's actually quite fun booting and beating thugs over the head with steel pipes, conduits, fire-axes, sledgehammers etc. Though it's not particularly gorrey considering what you can weild as weapons.

i wouldnt get the new vid card, as its really expensive and will be obsolete in less than a year when dx10 comes out, as it is not dx10 compatible. but, if the choice is between the card and a 360, then obviously the card wins, as the 360 is just an expensive paperweight.

I remember Far Cry instincts map editor for xbox. Its like mapping in-game with displacement and a small amount of GENERIC props at your disposal. You choose between 4 skybox designs, and can change the lighting. Thats pretty much it. It lends NO creativity for indoors.

Ive decided to get a xbox 360 :)

360: I always loved DOA, so I think I would like go get DOA 4. I want to get at least 2 games for the 360 though. I wish they had like a Mario party or a mario kart for 360 (Not those serious racers. Those arnt too fun in my opinion)

Far Cry Intincts Predator may be a little different. Wher there 4(or 5, i think) differnt "lands" to pick from (jungle, swamp, tropical, etc.) and 4 differnt sets to pick from? I have never played the first one, so I don't know how it differs. It is rather good for others that I have played with, timesplitters mostly.

I really don't mind limited map editors, I mean, I can think up alot of things to do with them, especially if you arn't looking to make it "polished" cause in some you can glitch, like in FC, you can change the height, and can have things floating, and you can do some things with that.
