I dont think CSS allows cameras. There is no entity for it. I think. What does work though is decompiling a camera map, copy/paste the setup, and change to what you want. It will read as obselete, but it does work.

be patient.
Double posting is frowned upon.

You need to download a map decompiler... I'm not sure what the source version is called.

Download GCF scape to extract the maps from the GCF files. Then take the extracted map and use vmex2 to decompile it. Open it up and copy/paste the camera.

I am not condoning taking from other maps, that is a BIG NO NO! Only things you cannot do, or for learning.

Hope it works out :)

If I remember...Haven't played CS:S in ages (with cameras in a map) but I remember this one map had a camera screen...It came out with pink textures so unless Valve have updated then I don't think you can do it unless you copy the entity over...Not sure how that works mind.

Copy/paste a camera does work in CSS. Ive done it before. The only thing is that I think you cant adjust the screen size from the map you took it from unless you change it in the mod. (What I mean is you decompile a SP map from HL2, go to the HL2 map editor, change the screen values, then c&p to CSS)

Too bad CSS has no point camera entity.

You lose, good day sir!!!!!

Actually, there's a way to do it. I managed to do it. You need a modified FGD file, which you can get here.

This FGD has the point_camera entity, allowing you to do your thang. I also know that this works perfectly, so if it doesn't for you, then you're doing something wrong. ;)

Xyos... here you are shooting down something before you do the research

I distinctly remember somewhere there is an ent set you can download for cameras in CS:S

I'll continue searching for it, but I clearly remember it being possible...
