Is there a way to get a camera follow someone in CS:S?

You could name the spawn entity, and then parant a camera to the name I guess

thats actually a cool idea, though people might find it unfair?

There should be a camera option for it to follow the player.

Not sure about HL2, though, seeing how theres not really a player model when in SP.

Do you mean have the camera continue to look at the player, or actually move with them?

Or set a trac_train or sumthing to move with player, and have the camera's parent the trac_train.

I wonder....

try having a trigger, then having the camera target !activator.

Else !player might work.

I guess I didn't explain it properly.

This is for CS:S - not HL2 SP... (hence the goofup in the subject, "GORDON")

I want an area where a camera will continue to look at a player as long as they are in a certain area, or would it just be easier for me to have a single camera aiming at the whole area?

Also, I know there was something I needed to download to have cams in CS:S - I'll search the forums here for it, but if I cant find it I'll let ya know.

Two triggers, and a camera should do it. :P
I think there is a camera target, right?
It aims the camera at a certain thing.
Name the player you want it to aim at, and make one of those switchy triggers (If you go away from it, it turns off, if you walk against it and through it, it turns on) When you walk in to the room, make the trigger change the name of the camera target.
I think it's that simple.

You realise you can't see yourself unless you tell console to change to 3rd person but there is a catch...The CT's and T's have hands coming out where their legs split...

I tested this to make a Mario map remember...You can't have a 3rd person map that looks normal...If your ok with having CT's and T's with hands in their legs then fair enough.
