My lights.rad isnt included in any maps (IE the texlights just end up as normal textures).
I put them both(hlrad.exe and lights.rad) in the same folder, even tried making the fuzzy -lights zlights.exe in expert. That didnt work either. Any ideas?

open lights.rad with notepad to see if the textures are really there. If not, or if theres just a few, copy the valve.rad and rename it to lights.rad

No you haven't, if you had it would be working :P

Perhaps your LIGHTS.RAD is actually called, say, LIGHTS.RAD.TXT? You haven't got Explorer set to "hide extensions for known filetypes", have you?

Is the lights.rad in the same folder as hlrad?

What a waste of a question. I should read better from now on.

So let me get this straight:
-Names are correct.
-Values are correct.
example 255 255 255 0000 would mean no light.
-In the same folder.

It should work...

What is:
fuzzy -lights zlights.exe in expert
What are you doing here? What is zlights.exe and what is it doing in a rad compile....?
Let us know, we might all learn something.

Is your lights.rad called lights.rad?
Why?

Modify a new file and include only those textures that have been changed. Call the new file the same name as your map.

Just add -lights yourmap to the hlrad line:(NO NEED FOR THE EXTENSION)
hlrad.exe -lights youmapname -therestofyourswitches.
