Here's my question... is there a way to modify entities in a HL2 BSP without actually recompiling it? Like a ripent program, only for HL2. I've searched for something like it but didn't find anything.

Wow... so can you really SAVE the modified entities into the BSP with garrysmod?

i don't think think if you can save it into bsp, but i know you can extract it to hammer and with hammer you can save it as a bsp

Gmod + Fixed VMF Exporter = Your Answer but that means recompiling it so...

There is a program that lets you edit entities...Forgot what it was called.

no... you can edit and save bot routes for css.. not major entities.. not to save them into the bsp anyway.. just recompile

Yes in theory he'll have to recompile because even so..By editing, this makes the map custom so people will still have to download it...Even with the slightest edit.

But I already figured it out... you can do it with vbsp -onlyents, which will update the entities in the BSP file. Thanks anyway.
