Im looking for some proffesional video editing software.

Im willing to buy anything. im hoping the video you edit can include sound, and it has features to add graphics in.

Any help would be great.

If I recall Hunter uses a professional one called Pinnacle. I wouldn't win it if I was you...I did and it glitched up a lot.

Ulead Videostudio 10 is brilliantly simple but still quite powerful, combined with a free app like virtualdub mod its more than enough for most people

And im guessing virtualdub mod is for sounds?

virtualdub mod is just a decent free video editing program, it lacks some basic features (layering vids, timeline) but its still got loads of good options for compression and after effects

Pinnacle Studio ftw.

Simple and very powerful. Lots of video effects, 3 sound layers and 4 graphic/video layers.

You can use green-screening and picture-in-picture chroma key.
A library of transition effects and premade sounds.

Adobe has the best.
I think the name is "Adobe after effects".
I've never tested it but I've heard that it is the best.
I bet there is a trial or a demo for you somewhere to concider the trade

After Effects isnt for video editing. its for special effects.

Pinnacle is great, but its far too feature heavy for 99% of home video editing

I've mainly used pinnacle. It's pretty good. Powerful, yet very user friendly, with a fairly flat learning curve.
