If anyone remembers my Sven-Coop map project titled PANDEMIC, here it is again. Except it's going to be a Source Mod. Not huge modifications, small things like weapon additions and stuff like that. Why are the pipes squareish?

Because I've no idea how to make smoother pipes. I've read a guide on it somewhere, but that was long ago... Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Half of the screens are of a nothingful desert!

If I was doing that, I'd make a helicopter fly overhead and point out which direction you need to go in.

Looks alright though, i think the squarish pipes has to do with your lighting...

Doh, low poly pipes + lighting = unsmooth looking pipes. Would a displacement be a good substitute for pipes? I went for the empty and dark desert at night look, but I keep feeling I need something.

Well can't say much but looks like you spent some time on those displacements cause they look rather nice.

My only complaint is the media is too early, needs more detail like as Rimrook said a Heli with red lights or perhaps a row of red beacons leading the way.

Use the arch tool for pipes.

As I said too early...I could make the displacements in 5 minutes...I'm only saying this cause at the Uni I looked at, the teacher showed us last years work and one man made a mod in HL2 with a desert and it looked just like yours only more deserty and dusty.

much too early. its a hall and a displacement with a few props. make more and report back.

It looks so empty... as in unfinished once you out of that sewer.. Even deserts have some plants/cacti/skulls of dead animals...

Thanks for the feedback guys. Pipes are way smoother. Going to work on props in the desert. Bones and such. Page is updated by the way.
