"Gone gold" is not the same as being released. "Gone gold" means the game is done, the final version of it has been completed, and its awaiting distribution. The release date is usually a couple of weeks afterwards.

I've loosely followed Gears Of War, and while the tech certainly is impressive, the game just looks boring. A dark and destroyed city has nothing on the massive outdoor areas, and the smooth look of Halo 3. Although there really is no battle between Gears Of War and Halo 3, they're quite different games.

The 360 is an AWESOME Console! It is in no way Crap. I have it and It is simply amazing. Everything is good about it, it's specs, it's User-Interface, It's Xbox Live System! The only reason why I could see ANYONE calling it crap is if they don't own one for themselves.

Cheaply made controllers pepper? Come on! Gamecube and PS2 maybe but not 360. It wraps around the hands perfectly, and wireless is perfect.

You can gather up your friends and play together on a PC together in the same room. You cant play against friends in fighting games. you can punch your friend for killing you! THe experince is totally differnent.
I myself like PC gaming and console gaming the same. They both bring different elements to the table. A PC is more personal to the gamer. They built it, they know exactly what it can do, and expansion in any area is possible.

Console gaming is only good for the local multiplayer games, which is hard to achieve using PC (although it can be done). Other than that, honestly, consoles are overpriced toys. I might get a Wii a couple of weeks after its release, but that's as far as I go.

the only thing i like about console gaming is sitting on my big comfy couch instead of hunched over my desk
and if i really felt like it i could set that up with my PC! but i don't because the only reason i leave my PC at night is because the chair starts to get uncomfortable in the wee hours

It doesn't have ANY problems for me. Most people are retarded and develop a problem with it by their own stupidity. If you place anything in an enclosed space, be it a PC or a 360, it can't breathe. I garuntee people did this or another stupid thing and made their own problem, then blamed it on the 360. In all the time I have had 360 there has not been ONE problem.

Next time your playing a game from CD on your PC turn your PC horizontal. See what happens to the Cd.
Were'nt these cooling problems only at launch? I have not heard anything on them for over 7 months now. I have friends who play oblivion non-stop and it never overheats. Seriously, dont believe everything you hear.

Consoles are well...I used to love them...Thanks to them I became a gamer (All the way back to the SNES) and all I ever did was console this and console that...But the Godly PC came with its unlimited power to make games more fun with 'modifications'...
Now the only time I play console is when a friend comes round or if there's 8 of us and we want to have a laugh on Smash Bro etc...
PC's are excellent, one of the best inventions on the list but the consoles make gaming also differ...In the end any console is just a new PC with nice features...Some developers just choose to work on them because they know people like to play with their friends on a game that involves sitting in the same room...

If you have a next gen console and you can afford its games, then so much the better. There are always some superb console titles that never make it to the PC.
If you have a PC and you can live with it without needing consoles, then good for you too!
