Hello, I'm new to this forum but I've been browsing this website for the past week. I've began to make a half-life single player mod (more info will come later). My question is, how do I change the HUD arms? I have half life blue shift and in my mod I need the player arms to be the security guard model from Blue-shift. Is there a file that contains the arm data or something? I've looked on the internet allready but I've found nothing. Thanks in advance.

Take the p_, w_ and v_ models from your Blue Shift installation and copy them into the models folder of your modfolder. Like:

Half-Life/yourmod/models

When you start your mod, you'll have the Blue Shift arms.

Also, are you new to mapping/mod making? It's best to not start a mod until you've gained enough experience. Try making little mappacks instead.

yeah and the HUD is the display with your ammo, health, weapons.. etc etc..

The arms are the weapon models themselves

I'm not new to map making. I have only recently been using Hammer editor but I have had experience in programming games before and map editing with different software. I have already began my mod and I found out how to get it running. Tetsu0, about the HUD I only referred to the players arms as the HUD because that was the file that the players gun model had to be called in an FPS game maker which I also use. Thanks anyway.
