Hi all and thanks for all the help you've given this NewB so far. Another question...How do I get objects to face in a different direction. I know some objects have east, west, north, south placement options but some don't, like the simple black chair. How do I rotate it? I've tried "tools">"align objects", "flip objects", and "transform" but none of these options give the desired result. Is it somewhere in the object properties??? I can't seem to find anything there that does this what should be simple task. TIA for any help.

Once you have something(s) selected... click them. Really. Then look at the little white boxes around the edges, at the corners - they've changed into circles! Then drag them and you'll see an outline of your selection rotating. Let go, and voila.

hold shift while rotating. its gooder than just rotating wothout it.

Or even better, Hammer: Tools -> Options -> 2D Views, tick the second box in the left column (Default to 15 degree rotations). Easier than holding Shift the whole time but does the same thing.
